Tennessee Valley Trailhead to Muir Beach

My daughter and I ran in the Marin Headlands from Tennessee Valley to Muir Beach via the Coastal Trail. There were great views along the way, and we passed through the infamous Pirate's Cove. After we got to Muir, we stayed at the beach a bit. We took a different route back, passing through the Green Gulch Farm and ultimately returned to Tennessee Valley using the Miwok Trail. All in all, I got about 2,000 feet of climbing and about 9.5 miles. That included some of the times I got ahead of my daughter and went back to her.

2021 Run to Feed the Hungry

My 6-year-old daughter and I both ran the Run to Feed the Hungry 10k in Sacramento on Thanksgiving morning and had a great time. The race was cancelled last year due to Covid, but this year's return of the race had a strong turnout.

I brought my GoPro Hero 9 along, so I could capture some scenes along the way. When I got home, I put this video together and posted it on YouTube. It'll be a nice way to save the fun memory. I hope you enjoy watching it!

My 2014 Headlands 100 Race Report

A shot of the Marin Headlands from within.

For the serious endurance readers, this recap will be done in alternating washing machine loops so you won't get tired of reading it in the same direction. Therefore, after the first read, please reverse course and read it backwards in its entirety. Then repeat.
